Curated, with context

Prompts can arrive through community submissions or discovery from configured public X searches. Each entry includes its available sources so you can see who shared it and read the original context. Discovery coverage depends on source availability and does not include every Muse post.

Community submissions always receive a review before publication. Automated discoveries must meet strict relevance and quality thresholds. Automatic publishing stays disabled until its decisions have passed an editorial benchmark. We never intentionally fill in missing prompt instructions.

A score that shows its ingredients

There are three different signals on a prompt: engagement on X, community upvotes here, and a combined directory score. X likes never become community votes. The current ranking formula is v1:

Editorial quality considers relevance to Muse, copy readiness, usefulness, and clarity equally. It is an editorial estimate, not proof that a prompt has been independently tested. X engagement uses the strongest individual source’s likes plus 2 times its reposts; multiple posts are not added together. X and community signals use logarithmic scales so a very large audience does not dominate indefinitely.

Freshness gradually decreases from the first publication date, with a 14-day half-life. Substantive feedback can adjust the combined score by up to 5 points. It contributes to ranking only after 5 substantive evaluations are available. Generic praise and spam do not count as reports that a prompt worked.

Submit complete instructions or a link to the original source. Credit the creator, respect their work, and keep private information out. Your submission stays private until it is approved, and you can follow its status in My submissions.
